 About Us

IngredientsMoving Parts has built a solid reputation by helping food companies of all sizes manage their margins.  Costs for commodity raw materials can be quite volatile, and often that variability cannot be passed on to the consumer.  This leaves the manufacturer to bear the brunt of price risk.  There are many ways to minimize that risk and it is our job to identify it, and assist our clients in developing the proper strategies to mitigating that risk and maximizing their margins.

We rely on a proven process and disciplined approach to margin management to develop our strategies – NOT our market opinion.  Certainly, our years of knowledge and experience in the commodity arena lends itself well to the task.  But it tells us only how to put strategies in place – NOT when.

Process & Discipline!

*com·mod·i·ty  risk  man·age·ment \ (noun):

1) a disciplined approach to preserving business/product margins through a proven process.  *from the Moving Parts, LLC dictionary

Our definition of CRM boils down to two words:  process & discipline.  All customers are different, with various price risks, and margin requirements.  And we offer customized support, service and strategy to our customers.  But in order to provide effective assistance to all manners of clients, we utilize a proven process.  It starts with understanding all aspects of a customer’s risk profile, then follows with their priorities and goals, and finishes with strategic and tactical recommendations.  Once a strategy is set, we stick to the plan, but also have the discipline to revisit the plan on a regular basis to determine future action, if any at all.
